Ultherapy^® is a non-surgical, non-invasive procedure that uses ultrasound and the body’s own natural healing process to lift, tone, and tighten loose skin on the brow, cheeks, neck, chin, jaw line, and décolletage. What Is Ultherapy^®?

A groundbreaking energy-based treatment, Ultherapy^® utilizes ultrasound waves that radiate from a device gently moved across the targeted area of skin. This process essentially brings heat to dermal layers in order to stimulate collagen and help the skin become firmer and smoother. Ultherapy^® does not involve surgery and can be an ideal solution for many patients who have mild to moderate aesthetic concerns that may not require a facelift or other invasive surgery to improve.

What Can Ultherapy^® Do for Me?

The benefits offered by Ultherapy^® can help both women and men who are considering options for effective skin rejuvenation. The potential advantages of Ultherapy^® include:

Am I a Candidate for Ultherapy^®?

Ultherapy^® can address mild to moderate signs of wrinkles, lines, or sagging skin in the face, neck, and/or upper chest (décolletage). For more severe signs of those concerns, another type of treatment may be recommended. Additionally, since Ultherapy^® is not designed to treat hyperpigmentation or enlarged pores, individuals with those concerns may be advised to undergo laser skin resurfacing or another skin treatment that is more ideal for those conditions. During your initial consultation, we will examine your skin and talk with you about your ultimate goals. If you are a good candidate for Ultherapy^®, we can develop a personalized treatment plan designed to meet those goals with exceptional results.

How is the Ultherapy^® Procedure Performed?

During the Ultherapy^® procedure, a handheld device will be delicately guided along the areas targeted for rejuvenation. The ultrasonic energy will be delivered into the skin at a precise depth, which should then begin the process of collagen stimulation. A slight heat sensation will likely be felt during the treatment process; however, Ultherapy^® should not cause excessive discomfort. Known as a “lunchtime procedure,” Ultherapy^® treatment rarely takes longer than 90 minutes to complete for a face and neck treatment, and often can be completed in about 30 minutes for patients who are just targeting the décolletage area.

What is Recovery from Ultherapy^® Like?

Most patients do not need a recovery period after Ultherapy^®. In fact, many individuals resume their normal daily routines immediately. Ultherapy^® is not usually considered a painful treatment, but some patients have experienced some temporary redness and slight soreness and/or swelling following the procedure, which can often be controlled with over-the-counter anti-inflammatories.

What Can I Expect from the Results of Ultherapy^®?

The effects of Ultherapy^® often start to become noticeable after a few weeks; however, it can take a few months for the full results to be visible. Many individuals experience the aesthetic benefits of Ultherapy^® for up to two years after a single treatment session. Patients who have more significant signs of aging and inelastic skin may be advised to undergo multiple Ultherapy^® treatment sessions, spaced over a series of appointments, to achieve the best possible results.

The precise cost of Ultherapy^® varies depending on the area and extent of treatment, whether multiple treatment sessions are being scheduled, whether additional procedures are included in the treatment plan, and other factors.
